2004 - 2007 Cadillac CTS-V FAQ
This page is here to provide V1 owners with a list of some of the most common questions we get asked!

We figure that if someone is wondering it, you may be too.
Are you still on a stock diff?

YES! We ran a high-mileage V1 differential for the first two years of drifting this car. Then we switched to a 3.91 SRX differential (same housing) for a better gear ratio. In drifting, the rear differential doesn't see the same kind of stress that it would in a drag racing situation, but most importantly, it doesn't wheel hop! Wheel hop is the main killer of stock V1 diffs. Install poly bushings and let it ride! Oh, and a V2 rear cradle is also not necessary.
